"Twenty throw down in my fist of rage, and the man to my left has folded down. Well, Johnny doubled up with a royal flush. I had three jacks and a pair of nines. My mind is turning, just two shots more, there's not much left to play...."
Sounds familiar? It should be. Now where did you hear that song again? Oh yes, it's in "The Wanderer!" These are just some of the lyrics of "That Was A Crazy Game Of Poker," by the band Of A Revolution or OAR. A Crazy Game of Poker made waves during the late 90's. It sounds very country side, which reminds me of the hot, hot, hot casinos in Texas, where the
poker players sport cowboy outfits and the girls are in their most flirtatious, slutty mode.
Not only that, the song also reminds me of the time I lost almost everything and nearly got on a fight with my opponents for who knows the reason what. Perhaps it's because I was already really tipsy then, I had such a lot of beer to drink. For a long time after that, I wasn't able to listen again to A Crazy Game Of Poker because it gives me the shivers. But after the extreme trauma portion of my life, I moved on and said to myself, well, I could always go on living my life with a little loss in poker.
"And my feet are growing tired, my eyes a little wired. Don't know what to do unless I retire, and he just said let's play some crazy poker."
