First thing you should do when you are searching for the online room to register with, and you are faced with a hundred and one
online poker rooms, check the integrity. If you see a blog poster cursing this particular room, don't take it seriously. For all you knew, this is just one person who gets his kicks bashing reputable sites. However, if you have checked 3 reviewing sites (indpendent entities) and ALL of them are saying that this particular site is a cheater, then that is a different story. One would be a masochist to register with that site, at least, that's my take.
Assuming you have cut down that hundred and one online poker rooms into say, 3 or 4, then it would be easy. That would be the time to consider your finances, the kind of games being offered by each one, which site has graphics pleasing to your eye, etc.
Going back to money, engaging in activities in online poker rooms must be enjoyable, and what this means is that while it should not impoverish your money down the road, you should be having fun whether you win or lose. Naturally, I will not deny the fact that winning would add more enjoyment, but think of it as lottery betting. I'm sure you know somebody who has been betting on MegaMillions for years (still not winning a thing), yet he/she never stops enjoying the gamble.
